What We Do

At The Harbour Club we promote social inclusion for older adults with dementia; our service is person centred and user led.  We provide a service from Mondays to Thursdays, 09.45 to 15.45.  Members can be collected in the morning and returned home in the afternoon. We provide a two course lunch plus tea and coffee, staff and members eat together promoting social interaction.
Because we are user led, all activities are dependent on our members needs and preferences, these include:

  • Cognitive Stimulation Therapy
  • Multi-Sensory Stimulation
  • Reminiscence
  • Group Discussions
  • Newspaper Readings
  • Board Games
  • Darts / Pool / Bowling
  • Music and Movement
  • Armchair Exercises
  • Singing
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Baking
  • Pot Gardening
  • Manicures / Hand Massage
  • Pet Therapy
  • Entertainers

Most Importantly

Most importantly we at The Harbour Club aim to improve the quality of life for those living with dementia and provide valuable respite for their family.
The Harbour Club . . . Making every day count
